The short version
Déjà stores everything locally on your Mac. We don't collect, transmit, or store your personal data. Your email, calendar, contacts, meetings, and messages never leave your machine.
What Déjà accesses
With your permission, Déjà connects to your Google Workspace account (Gmail, Calendar, Contacts) to sync data to a local knowledge base stored in ~/Déjà Wiki/ on your Mac. This data is processed entirely on your device.
What we collect
We collect minimal anonymous telemetry: app version, OS version, crash reports, and feature usage counts. No message content, contact names, email content, or personal data is included. You can opt out of telemetry in Settings.
Third-party services
Déjà uses Google OAuth to authenticate your Google account. Google's privacy policy governs that authentication. Beyond authentication, no data is sent to Google or any other third party by Déjà.
AI tools
Déjà makes your knowledge base available to AI tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.) via local MCP servers and local files. These tools access your data on your machine — Déjà does not proxy, relay, or transmit data to AI providers.
Data deletion
Delete your knowledge base at any time by removing the ~/Déjà Wiki/ folder. Revoke Google access in your Google Account settings. Uninstalling the app removes all application data.
